Slovakia

Book an appointment with an authorised service centre, where you will need to prove that the vehicle is owned by ŠkoFIN s.r.o.
For Tyre Service, appointments can only be booked with a BestDrive SK service provider
Approval of service work will be arranged by the service centre or tyre service provider via www.udrzba.vwfs.cz

Poland

Book an appointment with an authorised service centre, where you will need to prove that the vehicle is owned by ŠkoFIN s.r.o.
You must also inform the service centre or tyre service provider that approval for the work must be obtained from the Polish VWFS headquarters via email at PLEuropaserwis@vwfs.com

If you do not provide this information, ŠkoFIN s.r.o. will not be able to arrange payment for the services performed

Other countries

According to the Terms and Conditions, routine service and maintenance cannot be carried out abroad

Vehicle Breakdown

In the event of a vehicle breakdown abroad, only urgent repairs should be carried out, meaning repairs that are necessary to continue your journey or where failure to repair the fault immediately could result in further damage to the vehicle.

If you have Roadside Assistance with international coverage included in your contract, please follow the instructions provided in the driver documentation for this service
This procedure applies both to unexpected breakdowns and to insurance claims
If, for any reason, you do not contact ŠkoFIN Roadside Assistance as your first point of contact, we cannot guarantee reimbursement of all related costs

In the event of a vehicle breakdown abroad, only urgent repairs should be carried out, meaning repairs that are necessary to continue your journey or where failure to repair the fault immediately could result in further damage to the vehicle.

In such a situation:

Inform the service centre that the vehicle is owned by ŠkoFIN s.r.o.
The service centre must first send a repair cost estimate for approval to udrzba@vwfs.cz and copy you on the email
No work or repairs may be carried out without our prior approval
Our response will be sent to both you and the service centre by email during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Once the work has been approved, you as the client must pay for the repair and ensure that the invoice is issued in the name and address of the client specified in the Operating Lease Agreement
Upon receipt of the invoice, we will reimburse the client for the approved work and spare parts according to standard Czech rates and in Czech currency (converted using the Czech National Bank's exchange rate valid on the invoice issue date)

The client acknowledges and accepts any difference between the amount paid to the service centre abroad and the amount reimbursed by us.

Insurance Claim

In the event of a vehicle breakdown abroad, only urgent repairs should be carried out, meaning repairs that are necessary to continue your journey or where failure to repair the fault immediately could result in further damage to the vehicle.

Once the insurance claim has been registered, you will receive confirmation and information about the next steps
Inform the service centre that photo documentation and a repair estimate must be prepared and submitted to skody@vwfs.cz
No work or repairs may be carried out without our prior approval
Our response will be sent to both you and the service centre by email during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The invoice must be issued to ŠkoFIN s.r.o.
For repairs carried out within the EU, the service centre must invoice with 0% VAT
If the foreign service centre refuses to release the vehicle immediately after the repair, the client must pay for the repair and subsequently arrange for the repair costs to be re-invoiced to ŠkoFIN s.r.o.

The client acknowledges and accepts that insurance compensation will be calculated based on Czech rates and prices. Any difference between the actual repair costs and the insurance compensation paid shall be borne by the client.
